Learning by conditioning

Learning through association and learning by conditioning is the same to know. The association is taken between the stimulus and the response. Pavov and BF Skinner are famous for the experiments on conditional learning.

Classical conditioning

Classical conditioning means a kind of learning in which the response is made due to the stimulus that is neutral and that naturally bring about the response.

Pavlov is the founder of classical conditioning and he did experiment on the dog. He inserted a tube in the dogs cheek to measure the saliva. During the experiment he saw that the dog secreted saliva not only at the time when he was eating food but also at the time when he saw the utensils of the food or when he saw the man who brought food for him. Then according to his experiment he put a bell before dog have a food. Now the well rang was the conditioned stimulus or learned stimulus.

He further modified is experiment and then he concluded the food as the unconditional stimulus that is natural saliva is the unconditional response and the bell is the conditions stimulus and saliva is the condition response.

Operant conditioning or instrumental conditioning

Skinner conducted the experiments on the cat in the box his experiments are based on thorndike's experiments. He designed a box and named Skinner box for conducting experiment or rights and pigeon he said that conditions stimulus is helpful for unconditional stimulus.

He focused on primary and secondary reinforcement and positive ,negative reinforcement.
