Today we are in a time where every person has an access to cell phones and social media. Cell phones are becoming very essential part of our life. But the excessive use of mobile phones leads to the mobile phone addiction that disturb a person in his or her personal life, social life and occupational or job life.
It is important to know that the excessive use of mobile phones and social media application leads to anger, depression irritability, isolation,etc.
The point is how we can monitor one self whether we are addicted to our cell phones or it is normal to use cell phones.
It is reported that people used to check their missed calls or messages without any ring and vibration on the phone. It means that checking phones constantly become or habit. This habit can be dangerous and negative for your personal life and your occupational life as it disturbed your functioning and you cannot focus on your work.
Make sure that you are using your cell phone when needed.
Make sure when phone is not available to you, you may not develop any withdraw symptoms like anger, depression, stress, irritability, etc.
Currently we do not have any diagnostic criteria for cell phone addiction but we can relate it to the gambling addiction and we can also relate the symptoms and its severity.
Make sure if you have a child and you allow your child to use cell phone, make sure the time must be limited. And the content that has been watched should be checked by the parents or guardian.
Some people think that using mobile phone release the stress but it only depends on the content that you're watching but the continuous watching the screen cause headache and irritability for sure..
