A clinical psychologist's role is to reduce the psychological distress and also to promote the psychological well being among people. They are specialized in dealing people who have major disorders and also they can diagnose the client on the basis of the symptoms, they come with. They work in different settings like hospital, schools, organizations or offices, etc. Now Psychologists are also working online and they are trained to take online sessions. The role of clinical psychologist during therapy session is assessment and management of the symptoms or disorder of the client. Number of sessions are taken with the client usually between 6 to 12 sessions, depending on the need and severity of the problem of clients. Some people have insight about their mental condition and they cope with their condition more early than those who don't have insight and also have low motivation. Psychology is all about human behavior and no one can change the behavior but it can be modified in a very healthy and helpful way.
In shaping and molding the behavior of a child parents play an important role. Parents are responsible for giving a child better environment, teaching appropriate language,and building positive approach in a child. Child learn simply by observing the environment around him. In psychology we usually talk about parenting styles and it's impact on child's personality and behavior. Here are four types of parenting styles including authoritative, authoritarian, permissive and neglected. As their name shows the nature of parenting styles. Authoritative parents set rules, and they use consequences, but they also take their children’s opinions into account. They understand their children’s feelings while also making it clear that the adults are ultimately in charge. They have positive discipline strategies to reinforce good behavior by praising their child. Children with parents who demonstrate this style tend to be self-disciplined and well motivated.
